(014) without a voice

i woke up in the middle of the night without a voice. my lover was with me in my dreams, but she never revealed her face. i remembered calling out her name over and over again in desperation, but no sounds would ever escape from my mouth.

i knew where she was, but she was moving out of sight quickly.

and then i blinked, and everything went black.
