(0159) old beginnings and new endings

a world in denial reciting their bibles and praying from dusk till dawn... but just as you'd imagine, it's all about fashion and lying to yourself until you're gone. and i wrote you a letter, but i thought it'd be better if i were to just tell you some other time... because time never ends; it just straightens and bends, and it follows you for the rest of your life. so if you're walking away, you shouldn't let it pass you by... cause you'll end up standing alone, and you won't know why. we are flooding their waters, but they're starting to cry... and i'm about to break - all wrapped up in the concepts of time and date.

i laid the bottles on the stove. i had a drink, but she said "no - i'm already ready to go home. i just wanted to remain - here in the shadows of my shame..." but i knew that it was way too late once we found you at the bottom of the lake. still, every second i see your face... and it just gets harder and harder to erase. i'm starting to wonder if i can even taste all the regret you once held inside. it's like you barely even tried to tell me that it would happen soon... it's always been the same old fucking tune. so put the pieces back together... even if it takes until the end of the september - all i'm doing is trying to remember the warning signs of loss - i guess soon... we'll find out what it cost.
